Turn a photograph of a spoon, bowl, or other carvable object into a pattern you can print at true scale. Nothing to install — open Pattern Maker in Safari, Chrome, or Firefox and start working. The object is traced for you; set the finished size, then add centerlines, grids, and layout lines to help transfer the shape to your blank. Use top and side photographs together and they print with shared registration marks so the two views stay aligned in the shop.
Your photographs never leave your device. There are no accounts, subscriptions, locked features, or tracking.
Pattern Maker is completely free, supported by optional contributions from the woodworkers who find it useful.

Bowl Designer™

Design a bowl before you commit wood to it. Nothing to install — open Bowl Designer in Safari, Chrome, or Firefox and start designing. Shape the profile visually, adjust dimensions and proportions, choose species, and see the finished form as you work. Build a solid turned bowl or design a segmented one ring by ring, down to individual segments, feature rings, and mosaic patterns.
Because it runs entirely in the browser, clients can use it too. Send a design to a client to review, or let a client open Bowl Designer, create what they have in mind, and send the design to you to refine and build. No software installation or account stands between them and the design.
When it is time to build, Bowl Designer turns the design into shop information: cut lists, bills of materials, stock dimensions, and true-scale construction templates. Print the turned profile at actual size to transfer important locations and curves to the blank and use it as a reference while shaping. For segmented work, true-scale segment contours let you make one test cut and check its dimensions and angles against the printed pattern before cutting the rest.
Your designs stay on your device unless you choose to share them. There are no accounts, subscriptions, locked features, or tracking.
